This morning reflecting on this past year it has been a rollercoaster of events some good and some well not so good. We moved to a new store, met hundreds of new people, shared a lot of laughter and some tears along the way.
Ever since the beginning of the company we never really posted anything about us or our thoughts. We weren't great at marketing we knew we had a product that people liked, but we never took advantage of just talking to you our customer, reader, and well hopefully friend. So here is the first of possibly multiple posts to come.
So as I was saying reflecting, with the realization that there is only one more Farmers Market that we are going to be at this year Saturday October 8, 2022 at Port Austin. I was reflecting on all the fun time we had there. Farmers Markets are always the most interesting events for us. You have the ups and downs with the weather that consistently changes. If you live in Michigan that is every 5 or 10 minutes it seems. Sometimes you see your tent picked up from the wind and kept down with the weights. Or at times you are moving tables, so the sun doesn't melt the chocolates or the bake goods. If you have ever been a vendor at a Farmers Market you will know what I am talking about.
However, we find ourselves meeting with some of the nicest people on the face of the earth. Interacting with some of the most witty people that make you smile and laugh. You can also meet rude people as well but that is more rare than normal. I think though sometimes the one that deserves all the thanks and applause are the Market Masters. The ones that put it all together that has to make sure they work around the clock to get people to the market. Our team would like to thank all of the Market Masters of the markets we go to for all your hard work.
Well enough of looking back at the summer now it is time to welcome one of my favorite times of the year. The fall time where the air is a little cooler, the leaves are changing color, there is Football on the Television, and Salted Caramel is bringing our taste buds alive.
After the last market, we move to inside shows as well as we always look forward to Ship Shawana on the road in Mt Pleasant in November. The group of vendors that go to these shows in the fall and winter get to know each other over the shows and life long friendships are made. We love the friends that we have had the pleasure of meeting and working with in Ship Shawana and looking forward to getting back on the road in a few weeks.
So now we are looking forward to bringing out our new Holiday flavors for us to introduce next year to the wholesale accounts. To meet new friends and listen to more stories that actually make us think how grateful we are to have the honor to meet so many people. We are aware that yes it is about selling our products so that we can still make this company work, but it means more to our family about meeting and building new friendships along the way.
So in honor of the fall we are bringing back our Salted Caramel Espresso Melts. Kaitlin is creating her Cocoa bomb and Espresso bomb lines to be available to buy starting this week.
Julie is pulling her hair out with trying to proof what Todd writes and what he is promising our customers. And we are all trying to keep Andrew from eating more coffee melts so he can actually not get in trouble in school.
From our family to yours
Happy Sunday
